Landman completed its second week at the top of the streaming charts this week, beating out Netflix movie “The Rip” in the process

According to “The Wrap,” the Paramount+ hit held onto its top spot in the streaming charts this week, making it two weeks in a row that Landman has dominated. Making it to the top spot is difficult enough. Just in season two, Billy Bob Thornton and co. have faced competition from the final season of Stranger Things and season two of the Amazon Prime show Fallout.

However, the most impressive part of Landman’s second-week dominance is that it held off intense competition from the super-duo of Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, with their new Netflix movie, The Rip.

His & Hers, People We Meet On Vacation, and The Pitt rounded out the top five. Fallout dropped to sixth with the entrance of The Rip.

Nevertheless, Paramount+ is slowly chipping away at the previously established dominance of Netflix and HBO Max. The two giants have consistently dominated the charts. Paramount has been churning out some elite shows recently, including Tulsa King, 1923, and School Spirits.

Landman Has Been Renewed for a Season Three
When a show is dominating at the level of Landman, it’s a no-brainer for a studio to renew it for another season. That’s precisely what

” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Paramount has done. In fact, the renewal was confirmed shortly after the opening episode of season two premiered on Paramount+.
Currently, Paramount has provided no clues as to what season three’s plot will be focused on. In truth, allowing speculation to run rampant is a great marketing ploy, as it will keep the show alive while in filming.

Most importantly, contrary to the rumors, Billy Bob Thornton is expected to return for season three.

“There’s an AI report that Demi and I are a couple now, and there’s one that I’m leaving the show,” Thornton told USA Today. “They have nothing to do with reality…It’s been great working with Sam. And I love doing the show. I’ll be here as long as it plays out. If it’s five years, great. If it’s six, I’m there.”

So, if you’re among the millions of Landman fans, have no fear, the show is returning, and the cast appears to be intact. Strap in, it looks like we’re in for a long ride!
