“Marshals,” the new CBS drama set inside Taylor Sheridan‘s “Yellowstone” universe, has been given a quick Season 2 renewal — just 12 days after premiere. The Eye gave “Marshals” the pickup after the show premiered on March 1 to boffo numbers.
According to CBS, the show’s March 1 premiere posted 20.6 million multiplatform viewers (including CBS and Paramount+) within seven days. Per Nielsen Panel + Big Data and live+7 ratings, CBS noted that made it the most-watched broadcast original series premiere without an NFL lead-in since 2017 (CBS’ “Young Sheldon”).

‘Marshals,” preoduced by Paramount TV Studios and 101 Studios, stars Luke Grimes in his “Yellowstone” role as Kayce Dutton as he joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, “combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana.”
Logan Marshall-Green, Arielle Kebbel, Ash Santos, Tatanka Means, Brecken Merrill, Mo Brings Plenty and Gil Birmingham also star. Sheridan, David Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Spencer Hudnut, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Freidman, Grimes and Greg Yaitanes are executive producers.
