Dexter – the forensic pathologist and serial killer from the series of the same name – played by Michael C. Hall, returns in the new installment.


According to Empire , the new series (expected to retain the old title) will consist of 10 episodes, revealing new details about the character’s past. He is a diligent forensic investigator with the Miami Police Department in the United States. At night, he becomes a hunter of serial killers, torturing and then killing them. After eight seasons and 96 episodes, Dexter’s character has become beloved by viewers for his complex and dark personality.
Film producer Gary Levine has yet to reveal the main plot or Dexter’s antagonist this time around. “We’re going to reimagine this unique character in a new way, but still stay faithful to the original film,” he said.

Michael C. Hall was born on February 1, 1971, in North Carolina, USA. He began studying acting at a young age. Early in his career, Hall was a stage actor, appearing on numerous Broadway stages. Most audiences know him through his role as Dexter. The series earned Michael C. Hall the 2010 Golden Globe Award for “Best Actor in a Television Series.”
