“Young Sheldon” star Iain Armitage returns to CBS to reprise his role in “Ghosts”.

“Young Sheldon” star Iain Armitage is returning to CBS — and this time, he’s all grown up. Armitage will make a guest appearance in an upcoming episode of CBS’s comedy series “Ghosts.” According to the character description, Armitage will appear as “an exaggerated version of himself, participating in a high-stakes poker game at the mansion.”

The episode, which began filming today, is currently scheduled to air on April 16, 2026.

Armitage starred in seven seasons of “The Big Bang Theory” as the lead in the prequel series “Young Sheldon,” which concluded in May 2024. He began his acting career in HBO’s “Big Little Lies.” In film, he appeared in Netflix’s “Our Souls at Night,” Lionsgate’s “The Glass Castle,” and the independent film “I’m Not Here.” He also voiced young Shaggy in “Scoob!” and Chase in Paramount’s animated series “Paw Patrol.”

Armitage has been nominated for a Critics’ Choice Award for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and a Teen Choice Award for Breakthrough Television Star. As part of the cast of “Big Little Lies,” he was nominated for a SAG Award for Outstanding Ensemble Cast.

The series “Ghosts,” currently in its fifth season, stars Rose McIver, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Brandon Scott Jones, Richie Moriarty, Danielle Pinnock, Asher Grodman, Román Zaragoza, Sheila Carrasco, Rebecca Wisocky, and Devan Chandler Long.

CBS Studios, in partnership with Lionsgate Television and BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions, is behind the series “Ghosts,” with Joe Port and Joe Wiseman serving as executive producers. Richie Keen, Matthew Baynton, Jim Howick, Simon Farnaby, Laurence Rickard, Ben Willbond, and Martha Howe-Douglas, Alison Carpenter, Debra Hayward, Alison Owen (Monumental Television), Angie Stephenson (BBC Studios), Josh Malmuth, John Blickstead, and Trey Kollmer are also executive producers.
