1- If you’re someone who has struggled with grief and loss in your life, I think this will be a difficult show for you to watch but a very important show for you to watch. I suspect you’ll feel like you’re looking in the mirror at times.

2- It’s not as fast paced or entertaining as Taylor Sheridan’s other shows, but I think it’s his best writing.

3- Because it’s a Taylor Sheridan show, the people in Hollywood who decide which shows get nominated for awards will likely ignore it… but they shouldn’t because Michelle Pfeiffer absolutely deserves an Emmy nomination for her performance. The supporting cast is also great.

4- If you enjoyed the movie ā€˜A River Runs Through It’, I think you’ll enjoy ā€˜The Madison’. I also think, like me, about two episodes into the six parts of the 1st season, you’re gonna think to yourself… I’ve got to see Montana someday before I die.

5- You should try to watch this with a friend or someone you care about, because after each episode, you’ll find yourself wanting to talk about what you just watched and how ā€˜dead on’ accurate it is in portraying how messy and difficult life can sometimes be… but also how beautiful it can be… if we let it ā¤ļø
